“Does Your Waiter Really Know the Menu?” by MDC

Every so often based on seasonality the chefs in restaurants change the dushes on the menu. Knowledge is power so being prepared for each shift is on the mind of the management and it is their job to make sure that the wait staff has the tools for success. To ensure a quality dining experience for each guest every server is required to study menu descriptions and then take a test on the new items. A lot of work but it is absolutely necessary as sometimes the guests have questions or may even have an allergy to a specific ingredient that might be in a dish. So server, study study study those menu items because you never know who will ask you to describe a dish at your restaurant!
